Inpatient Psychiatry - Correctional Medicine
Under the direction of the Director of Mental Health Services, this position provides direct psychiatric care to offenders assigned to inpatient facilities within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Located within the confines of a prison, jail or juvenile detention center. Security clearance is required; pre-employment drug testing is also required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must hold a current license to practice medicine by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. Eligible for Board Certification in Psychiatry. Must hold a current Drug Enforcement Agency controlled substances registration certification.
